Painting Classes:

Tuesday mornings 10-1

Wednesday evenings 5:30-8:30 (class time may move back to 6-9 if enough people need the later time)

an additional evening may be added if need arises so let me know if you are interested and can't make Wednesday evenings.

Weekly Classes provide a supportive and ongoing community to nurture your exploration and offer a time to reconnect each week.   Ages 16 and up.

6 Week Class Series:     $200.00   

8 Week Class Series:    $249.00

(all class series are consecutive weeks and include materials)

I have a rolling admission based on space availability.   additional daytime or evening times may be available based on interest so please contact me if scheduling is an issue.

 Attendance:   Class series are for consecutive weeks.   Missed classes can be made up in another class series as space allows.  This must occur within the weeks of your planned series.   If you are aware of a planned absence at the time of registration for a series and notify me at that time you will be able to add the missed class on at the end of you series (eg. vacation etc.).  This is limited to one missed class per series.

Individual Painting Time and Exploration

Scheduled Workshops: Sunday, February 12th, 12-5

 In the spirit of intuitive painting, I will be offering some half day workshops.  These are a great way for newcomers to the studio to jump in and embrace creative exploration and also provide a great opportunity for ongoing painters to challenge themselves and deepen their process.   We will paint both together and alone.   You will have the opportunity to paint in a place free of judgment and to challenge yourself to try new things while you risk bringing your images to life!  I will be available to provide intervention to encourage your journey.

Ages 16 and up.

 Register early as workshop size is limited.

Intuitive Painting Weekend Workshop 

Weekend Workshop:  January 20th/21st, Friday/Saturday, 6-9/10-5:30, $125

Immerse yourself in an extended period of spontaneous painting.  Join me for this opportunity to explore the possibilities!

Homeschoolers

Looking for a different kind of art class? Process painting is uniquely suited for homeschoolers as it fosters creativity through discovery and non-judgmental guidance. It encourages students to deepen their trust in their intuition as they allow the colors and moment to guide them.   Students learn to let go of the focus on product and outside feedback. They are encouraged to explore, invent, play, and take risks. At times we may paint together, create a mural, or ???? We come back together for a short time at the end of class to share the experience and for questions. Students learn to let go of trying to
"please" others with their creativity (parents included!) and instead learn to embrace the discovery and joy of the creative process. Some coaching for parents available and I am also willing to schedule a "parent only" session to share a video on children's creativity. ($10.00 donation for this session)

Advance registration and deposit are required for all ongoing classes and workshops.   A 50% deposit will hold your place.   Deposits are refundable up until one week prior to the start of class/workshop minus a $35.00 handling fee.   There are no refunds within 3 days of start of class/workshops as your place can likely no longer be filled.  Classes are small so please try not to drop out at the last moment as it affects others.

Mask Making Workshop 

Thursday evening October 20th, 5:30-8:30, Sunday the 23rd, 12-5, and Monday the 24th, 5:30-8:30.  $125.00 plus $15.00 materials fee. (limited to 6 participants)

 What energy or healing would you like to call in?  The mask that you create will embody the spirit of that energy or figure, and will honor a sacredness that already exists within.   We will honor the process as it unfolds, as with all workshops at artspace.

Join me for this three part workshop which will include a guided shamanic journey to identify a sacred figure.   You will then have the opportunity to mold and shape a mask on this first evening, and

then

to return on Sunday afternoon to sand and paint.  We will return on Monday evening to adorn, and finish with a closing ritual that will provide an opportunity to honor and animate the spirit of the mask and to embrace the healing energy that has come forward.

Mandala Meets Intuitive Painting   3 Part class, Monday evenings, November 28th, and December 5th and 12th.  5:30-8:30, $89

The circle is a powerful symbol and represents wholeness.  It has been used throughout history for meditation and as a spiritual tool.  It is found throughout nature. You will be assisted in surfacing personal images, shapes, colors, or symbols through music, and a guided visualization. These may become your starting point as you move to begin to paint your mandala.  You will be supported to honor your process, thus allowing it to unfold.  The painting process will be incorporated as you are supported, encouraged, and challenged to explore, moment by moment, trusting your intuition to guide you.  What do you sense is within the circle?   What lay beyond?  We will incorporate collage, colored pencils, and meditations to further explore.
